We will do everything
we can to help you maximize your insurance benefits. We ask that
you keep several important facts in mind:
Your insurance is a for-profit
organization. Your insurance is a contract between you,
your employer, and your dental insurance carrier. We are not
included in determining what procedures are to be given coverage, when
the benefit is paid out, or to what extent orthodontic treatment is
covered. Therefore, we cannot begin any of our treatments
contigent on what an insurance company will or will not pay. If your insurance company refuses to pay
the amount of entitlement, then the responsible party will be asked to
pay the fee.
We do not work for the insurance companies but
rather solely for you. Recommendations are based on what our
expertise tells us is best for you. Not what your insurance
company covers. Normally, if you have an orthodontic benefit, you
can count on your insurance company paying approximately 20-35% of the
total fee. The insurance company will determine the time frame in
which they pay and we have no control over that.
We feel strongly that we provide a very important quality service to
our patients. We expect to be paid for our quality service when
we deliver the service. When we begin treatment, we will make
financial arrangements with you. We believe that you will be
pleased to receive the care that is state of the art and does not
compromise quality care. Quality orthodontic care is expensive
and we will strive to design a financial plan that works for you and
your budget.
